NAME: Ban Midou BIRTHDAY: December 17 AGE: 21 RESIDENCE: Shinjuku District, Tokyo, Japan ABILITIES: The Jagan - known as the Evil Eye in some circles - was an inherited power from his grandmother, the last Queen of the Witches, and gives him the power to send anyone whose eyes meet his into a 60-second dream; this dream practically becomes reality for the person afflicted, and though it lasts only a minute in real time, it can last as long as Ban decides in dream time. Also, due to his heritage and since he was born under the star of Asclepius, Ban possesses superhuman strength; while it's not obvious to anyone just looking at him, he has a base force grip of 2 kN - in layman's terms, he can easily rip a steel door off of its hinges, punch a crater in a stone wall, etc., even when he's not using his full strength - and has the Snakebite ability, essentially turning his right hand into a snake's jaw that can crush anything. To invoke Asclepius' full power however, there is a chant that Ban must speak; once he's begun, the faint, ghostly outline of a snake is seen around his body. He has yet to lose against an opponent once Asclepius is summoned. BIOGRAPHY: Known as the man with the Jagan (Evil Eye) and the Snakebite, Ban is half of the third generation of the GetBackers Recovery Service. Along with his partner and best friend Ginji Amano, the GetBackers boast a Ban comes across as a cocky, impatient, sometimes cold, always sarcastic individual who's adept at coming up with unflattering nicknames for almost everyone (Ginji was initially "Lightning Brat," while Shido is "Monkey Boy" and Kazuki is "Threadspool" or "Threadspinner"), but in actuality, he does care quite deeply for his friends. His past is something that he prefers not to discuss with just anyone - as such, very few people know who Ban really is. He is also much more intelligent than most people give him credit for; despite having never been formally schooled, he's studied various fighting techniques, history, science, and magic due to his life on the run (the Shamans, enemies of the Witches, have been after Ban for years; he is the Witch Queen's last direct descendant), and will startle people with his knowledge more often than not.
